The preparation, as I expected was unpleasant. The colonoscopy procedure itself I was told would non be. I experienced a lot of discomfort as well as pain during this procedure even with the sedation. I'g not sure why this occurred, every bit most describe their procedure every bit not a bad thing. During my recent colonoscopy, a sponge on a tube was placed in my nostril for increased oxygen. After this tube was removed I had a bad blocked nose, and for two days, a really awful head cold, sneezing a lot, very runny olfactory organ, watery eyes and generally feeling unwell. Not sure if this is a usual experience with this procedure. I was non advised that this may happen!

I had my first colonoscopy today. Preparation went well – I just followed the directions. I hoped to take it without sedation, considering I've heard awful things about propofol and avoid drugs in general. I also wanted to picket information technology on the screen. The doctor was very comfortable doing it drugfree. Process went fine. It was crampy going around the turns but no worse than bad period cramps. I was out of the building 15 minutes after the procedure washed. Would definitely do it once more with no sedation.

I had my first colonoscopy today. I have an anal fistula and had a perianal abscess, therefore, the medico wanted to see if I have IBD (inflammatory bowel disease). I didn't end up having my colonoscopy as the laxative didn't work well for me. My bowels never cleared so my procedure was cancelled. I'm kind of glad later on reading some of these comments. The big drinks of laxative gave me terrible flu like symptoms, chills, cramp, bloat and headache and took far too long to work; ten hours later after taking it! I followed to the rules and started it early on, but information technology didn't work well enough. They tried to book me in over again with another laxative. No thanks.

I had a second colonoscopy on Baronial 9. The grooming role wasn't bad, improve than 20 years ago. I have issues with sedation, so I warned the doctor, the nurse, and the anesthesiologist. The anesthesiologist said not worry, he'd take care of me. I woke up feeling ok and went home. When the anesthesia wore off, all hell bankrupt loose. I was in pain. I went in feeling fine, came out with a diverticular flare, an arthritis flare, a fever and I notwithstanding don't experience good.

I am a 78 year old woman who has had cancer twice, the second was unknown cancer cells in my bowel. I ended upward with a colostomy. I have had two colonoscopy procedures, the 1st with anesthetic, simply because I am a caregiver for my 82 year sometime married man, I opted for gas the second fourth dimension. I had colonoscopy done yesterday and the doc said he couldn't get in far enough to see but all looks ok. I still have diarrhea today and I'1000 urinating on myself. I actually woke upward after the anesthetic and had wet the bed. I'm still like this all 24-hour interval. I don't feel very well at all and had this done earlier and never had this experience.

I have colonoscopies every half-dozen months because my bowels like to produce polyps and then they demand to exist removed. My main tip is to ask for a bowel prep called Pico-Salax instead of MoviPrep or whatever other where y'all have to drink liters of horrible tasting solution. I have a family history of colon cancer, and then I had a colonoscopy before l. I asked for the Sutab pills because I was worried I wouldn't similar the potable. I had colonoscopy and endoscopy today. One 4 mm was polyp constitute, and diverticulosis. Preparation was non too bad, Miralax and Dulcolax. My colonoscopy was fine. Here is my concern: It has been 4 days since my colonoscopy and I have been experiencing a yellow, jelly-like fungus coming out of my rectum. I as well have had a couple of loose stools that sneak out and soil my underwear that I didn't experience come out at all! I had the dreaded colonoscopy near a couple of months ago. I was told over and over once again to do this process. I had C. difficile terminal fall, so had to postpone. I had colonoscopy this week, the training was ok although the MoviPrep tasted far stronger than I expected. It took a whole 2 hours for it to start working, and then 3 hours to empty. I had a good night's sleep, then repeated in the forenoon. I had light sedation for the procedure and felt very relaxed, and watched everything on the monitor. I had my 1st colonoscopy last week. The grooming is bad, I didn't get in to the toilet fast plenty in one case and diarrhea went everywhere. I was asleep for the procedure but was immediately in horrendous hurting upon waking. They left enough gas in me that I looked pregnant. I am a 75 year old female. My colonoscopy was clear of cancer, and I had 2 pockets of diverticula. I would advise anyone my age to research the complications for older people having a colonoscopy. Post colonoscopy I take had pressure on my bladder. I accept made 11 trips to my full general physician, had three courses of antibiotics for infections, ultrasound, CT scan and ten-ray, and a visit to the emergency outpatient room. Ii months on I am left with nausea and constipation. I wish I had non had a colonoscopy at my age.

I had a colonoscopy in 2015 and still traumatized past the memory! The preparation itself was bad plenty, and mixed with piles, I had a bottom that looked like a birdie'south and felt like razor blades! I had a relaxer prior to the colonoscopy but the hurting was horrendous! They had to end afterwards about 10 minutes without getting a total picture, but I actually couldn't have carried on. My commencement colonoscopy was performed over 4 weeks agone. Since then my irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) has flared. My digestive system is unstable. I've been suffering from farthermost trapped gas and constant gurgling in my stomach. The procedure itself was a piece of block. The aftermath with my intestines is another story. I just had an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Due to all the comments I read, most of them bad, I was very afraid. I empathise anybody its different, but my experience wasn't bad at all, not even the preparation. What may have helped me not to have cramps like some people do was, a week before my procedure, I stopped eating greasy nutrient, and all my experience was slap-up. I had my colonoscopy yesterday. I read all the stories of how the preparation was the worst part. I actually breezed through the prep and felt very cleansed subsequently. Still, the colonoscopy has to take been the most painful procedure I accept always had. Just prior I was given what was supposed to be sedation. This is my 1st colonoscopy. No polyps in 10 twelvemonth follow-up. Follow instructions exactly and you'll be fine. I had my first colonoscopy today. I accept dreaded taking the preparation, for years. Honestly, I scared myself to decease for nothing. I had my first dose of Clenpiq at five:30 pm, and was on the toilet at 6:xv. I dreaded throwing upward but thankfully I kept it down. Took me an hr to become it all downward. A straw did not go far better just after each swallow I chugged water and lemon/lime popsicle. Popsicles were a life saver. No nausea, no airsickness, and no cramps. I went for my tertiary colonoscopy. The preparation for this time was a lot worse for some reason I don't know why, merely I still was having to go to the bathroom when I went to the hospital to have the process, but earlier I never did that. Of form, I was put out and don't call up anything, that was no problem. Everything is good just ever since I've done all of this, I have not had the urge to go to the bathroom. This has been going on since last three weeks, I've been taking stool softener, merely not helping.

I had my first colonoscopy at age 36. My physician prefers a traditional prep of Dulcolax, Miralax mixed with 64 oz of Gatorade, and a bottle of magnesium citrate. During that surgery I had 5 polyps removed and all came back with precancerous cells. I was informed that I would have to have the process in one case a year every v years. Today I had my second procedure at age twoscore - clear minus some hemorrhoids (child birthing)! The preparation is inconvenient and painful but cancer would be so much worse.

I have had iii colonoscopies and was sedated for the offset two merely for the third I decided, after reading comments that in that location was little to no pain involved, to attempt it. I had no gas or sedative of any kind. I was pleased that there was only mild discomfort when the instrument went around the bends. I suffered from pain in my left side stomach and was sent for a colonoscopy, The MoviPrep, the drink for the night before and the morn of procedure is the worst thing about it all, wish I had read the write ups on hither first. My behind was sore, and then I used nappy foam. The examination itself went well, I chose the gas and air instead and was able to come directly home. Test was clear thankfully. For a week after the examination, eat piddling, that helps. Would exist much wiser, but not worried if I demand another.

I have had 2 colonoscopies and 1 sigmoidoscopy. The 1st and second I used MoviPrep which was by far the worst experience. The sense of taste is so bad and the volume you demand to drink excessive. The colonoscopy with sedation is quite painless in comparison. The sigmoidoscopy I used 10 Senna tablets and Citramag which I constitute more than pleasant in taste and on the whole more than manageable. My hubby had a colonoscopy done at one hospital and that hospital said that in that location was goose egg wrong with my husband. Now he is getting another ane done at another infirmary considering this hospital doesn't similar the first infirmary's findings. I took the usual grooming for colonoscopy, no problem. After, two things happened. In the next week, I had 2 migraines, which are extremely rare for me, I'd had three others in my lifetime. Now, two months later, my bowel movements (BMs) are very different. The problem I am now having is ever since my colonoscopy I have non had a solid bowel movement. Prior to my process I was going to the bathroom 1 time per day and had solid bowel movements.
